Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series will for the first time in history come to Gothenburg this August. In order to carry out the event and make it an absolute success we humbly welcome your enthusiasm and assistance at Frihamnen during the spectacle.

As a volunteer at Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series Gothenburg you will be working from August 25th – 31th in shifts à approximately 7 hours, subject to position. As the title implies the participation is voluntary, which means that no compensation in terms of monetary values are paid out. However, you will be treated with lunch and other refreshments everyday as well as a set of clothing to wear during the weekend. You will also get inside experience of an event that is expected to be completely extraordinary.

Below is a general description of what positions and characteristics we are looking for in order to build an excellent team.

The Service Enthusiast
This area of volunteering regards accreditation, courtesy desks and VIP-areas. It contains a range of various tasks including hosting, informing and language translation. You need to be extremely outgoing, service minded and constantly on your feet to create value and satisfaction for guests and spectators. 

The News Maniac
This group will assist our Media Centre and cater to personnel working with press and continuous updates. In this area we look for someone who is service minded, thorough and interested in the field of media and communication.

TV Production
The Camera Lover
The America’s Cup organisation will bring their own state of the art TV production team for the occasion, which needs the assistance of four true media and TV production enthusiasts. Required availability is Aug 25th -30th and you are preferably educated or currently in education in the field. Driving’s licence is compulsory to apply.

Special Ops.
The Superhero
If you are Mr or Mrs Fix It this is where you belong. In Special Operations you can expect all kinds of tasks including repairing, building up or physically changing location of something in the Race Village. You are required to be an energetic problem solver, a bit handy and not afraid of heavy lifting.

The Race Village Know-It-All
The Know-It-All position can include everything from welcoming visitors, informing about activities and happenings in Race Village or to guide people to certain locations. In other words: you are the Race Village pro! To work in this group you are required to be outgoing, professional and service minded. You should also manage languages well.

The Playful Spirit
During the weekend numerous activities and attractions will occur. They can regard everything from exhibitions to sport shows and children’s activities. You will be assigned to facilitate and support such activities throughout the weekend and therefore we look for someone who is enthusiastic, playful, instructive and comfortable with children.
