Gothenburg is centrally located on the Swedish West coast and easily accessible from Landvetter Airport as well as by train and by sea.

The Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series will take place in the heart of the city, with a 50 square metre Race Village in Frihamnen in the city centre. All Official racing will take place at the beautiful Race Arena in Långedrag where spectators will have many great opportunities to watch the AC45:s.

By car

Although there will be some opportunities for parking close to the Race Village, we recommend that visitors use public transport if possible.

To get to the Race Village by car from the centre of Gothenburg, take Göta älvbron towards Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen. After the bridge keep right and follow the signs towards Frihamnen and follow the road. Take the third exit at the roundabout, onto South Frihamnspiren.

From the E6, keep left in the Tingstad tunnel north onto road 155 towards N Älvstranden. Follow Route 155 to Brantingsmotet, take the exit towards the Centre and Frihamnen, onto the Hjalmar Branting Way. Take the exit towards Frihamnen and then left in the T-intersection. Take the second exit at the roundabout, onto South Frihamnspiren.

By public transport

Take the tram to the tram station Frihamnen (line 5, 6 and 10), then walk for about 5 minutes to the event area. By ferry There will be a ferry going back and forth to the Race village from the city centre side of the river during the event days. The ferry docks out by the Gothenburg Opera House. Public parking Public parking in Frihamnen is availible daily outside the main entrance. Parking fee 100 SEK / day during Race Village opening hours.

Free ferry to the Race Village

A free ferry will operate a route from the Gothenburg Opera House to the Race Village at Frihamnspiren between 10.00 am - 18.30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and between 10.00 am - 23.00 on Saturday.

There is no possibility of parking at Långedrag. We recommend public transportation to Långedrag.

By public transport

Take the tram to the tram station Långedrag (Line 9 and 11)

It is a 5 minute walk down to the GKSS harbour from the tram station.
The area around Oscar II Fort - a great venue for specatators dring the racing 29th - 30th August - there is about a 10-15 min walk to get to the Oscar II Fort from the tram station. If you arrive from Gothenburg city centre, get off the tram and turn right and follow Saltholmsgatan back towards the city. Take the fourth exit to the left, Försvarsgatan, and follow it until it ends and you will have reached the fort.

Please note that the fort is unfortunately not equipped with facilities for disabled or adjusted accordingly.
